Weill, Chakrabarti & Kuchaslo named KIJHL December 3 Stars

 

Tristan Weill (Kimberley Dynamiters), Max Chakrabarti (Creston Valley Thunder Cats) and Jozef Kuchaslo (Revelstoke Grizzlies) have been selected as the Hudl Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Month for December.

Weill – Top Forward – The West Kelowna product had nine goals and eight assists for 17 points and helped the Dynamiters win six of their nine games. Weill had game-winning goals in back-to-back games against Princeton and Spokane and five multi-point games. Weill had a two-goal, three assist night against Princeton and two three-point nights against Creston Valley and Fernie. Weill leads the KIJHL with 63 points in 32 games, including a league-leading 34 goals. It’s the second straight month that Weill has been named the Top Forward

Chakrabarti – Top Defenceman – The Surrey product had five goals and eight assists for 13 points in nine games helping his team collect eight points. Chakrabarti had a goal, the winner, and an assist against the Fernie Ghostriders. He also had three multi-point games, including a four-point performance against the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Chakrabarti is the KIJHL’s top producing blueliner with 10 goals and 34 points in 30 games.

Kuchaslo – Top Goalie – The Mission, B.C. product earned four of the Grizzlies’ eight wins as he stopped 135 of 140 shots for a 1.25 goals against average and a .964 save percentage. Kuchaslo had a 33-save shutout performance against Golden, then stopped 44 of 47 shots in their win against Kamloops. Last year’s KIJHL Top Goalie is 13-6-0 with six shutouts, a 1.63 GAA and a .942 SP. Kuchaslo is four wins away from establishing a new season high in wins.
