The Creston Valley Thunder Cats are proud to announce the creation of the Hockey Operations umbrella within the organization. Overseen by the General Manager and the Board of Directors, Hockey Ops will employ staff that will work with the team in three key aspects of wellbeing and development – Coaching, Mental and Physical Health and Performance, and Technical Skills. GM Bill Rotheisler had this to say about the change.
“We are extremely excited to bring what we feel will be a new precedent to the resources offered to players at this level. Last season we brought in an analytics department, and now we can surround our players with the resources they need to help bring their game to the next level, with also doing our part for the players’ overall wellbeing.”
