The Creston Valley Thunder Cats announced the 2021-22 leadership team over the past week via Twitter. The beginning of the week had revealed the players that will be acting as Alternate Captains: Returning alternate Clayton Brown, the very anticipated return of Corbin Cockerill, and the newly-minted “A” Travis Thorhaug.
The final reveal was Creston’s own Vin Jackson as captain. Despite being only 18 years old, Vin played his first game with the Thunder Cats during the 2017-18 season and is a proven leader and understands the importance of a cohesive culture.
Corbin Cockerill was unable to participate with the Thunder Cats during the 2020-21 season due to border restrictions; however, Cockerill and Thorhaug all joined the Thunder Cats full-time in the 2018-19 season, while Brown enters his second season, and just as many as an alternate captain, for the Thunder Cats.
